Jumping to Snap L4 with 2 YOE possible?

I have been at Meta for 2 YOE and am in 2-3 weeks going to start as an E4 (just got promoted). Is it possible to jump to Snap L4? I lost all motivation to continue grinding it out at my current role so my plan is just to cop the bonus payout and the next stock vest and then dip to Snap L4 for a TC bump but idk if it's possible. If so, does anybody have an estimate of what TC at Snap I could get?

You say this like you already have a snap offer

This is like owning a house in Palo alto and then giving that up to move to Fremont. You can but why the F would you?

For more TC

Significantly higher chance of layoff tho. Plus their stock performance is garboge

But why snap

Meta t72b3 OP Feb 9

Because Snap L4 TC is 350k+

Get E5

It was possible but idk if it is anymore, I have seen people with 5 YOE from Meta or Google rejected lately. Then again after we just laid off maybe there are less applicants, not sure how the applicant to position has changed since then.

Yes easy if you are E4

Dude, meta is giving money away like it’s candy. Perf bonuses and promos are fully on the table at your level if I understand correctly. Doesn’t make sense to move to snap for TC

At this point there's a 5 percent "does not meet expectations" quota in the stack ranking they do for performance reviews. I saw a manager in the private Snap channel say he was giving passes to candidates who weren't any good, just so he could still meet the quota after the 10 percent layoffs we had on Monday. Not sure if it's true, but it's plausible from what I've seen. So yeah, you could probably join, but considering the state of the company, do you really want to?

At Meta the quota for “does not meet” is 15%
