I work as a SAP consultant in India. I make 9.3 LPA (~$12k). After seeing the salaries which full stack developers, ai and ml developers make in India and in USA, feel like a career in SAP consulting in India is not worth it. Salaries in SAP consulting are approximately 2X the YOE. A SAP consultant with 5 yoe makes 10 LPA (~$13.5k). More if they are working on a new module and have technical skills as well. Only very senior consultants make upwards of 25 lpa (~$34k). Beyond that, the 50 lpa(~$68k), 75 (~$102k) lpa and 1 cr (~$136k) salaries are for senior management (VP, director, MD, CEO). Full stack developers, distributed systems engineers, AI and ML engineers in FAANG make 40, 50, 60, 70 LPA with added stocks, bonuses, refreshers. Sigh All the salaries are converted to USD based on the exchange rate, not PPP. By PPP, the salaries in USD would be 3 times more. #sapconsulting #India #fullstack #faang
Why can't India use normal numbers like the rest of the world? I earn 3 schmeckles but I hate that tax takes away 1 plumbus :(
Do you see Inr in India? I don’t see inr when I go to the website
No point looking at the blind posts and getting depressed. Spend that time on upskilling and jump ship.
You are correct. Upskill and shift domain.
