Hi Friends, I have joined visa around 3.5 years back. I don't see any career growth in VISA and appraisals are also very less. I am trying out for new opportunities and I see Singapore has maximum contract jobs which pays good. PLS Suggest me will it be a right move to leave permanent job with VISA (salary: 8.5k SGD per month ) and join contract job with Standard Chartered at 13k SGD per month. PS: I have never worked on contract jobs so would need advice before making decision. Pls also suggest hows the work culture in Standard Chartered. #singapore #visa #standardchartered #tech #jobs #switch #career
I think there’s good work/life balance at SCB, I do see that some people barely work over the 8 hours per day (not a critique, just observations). The culture is very diversified, definitely much more than other local banks. Compensation and leave allowance is also generous. But, keep in mind that “the culture” can also vary from team to team.
What kind of benefits do you get from your FTE job at Visa ?
Annual bonus (12k annually) , some reimbursement benefits (3k). Yearly 24 holidays. Majorly that's. Work life balance is good in VISA, we don't work on weekends and release timelines are also flexible
