Looking for a new SDR/BDR job to get into software sales, currently making 80k a year at my current sales position for Cintas First Aid and Safety. I would like to not take much of a pay cut but I’m really interested in starting a software career, any companies that pay decent for their SDR’s ? I understand that’s the entry level position with no software experience. #ae #enterprise #sales #BDR #sdr #saas #tech #entrylevel #remote #southerncalifornia
AWS. Look for demand gen/associate account Exec roles on the portal and Dm me link if you find a role. Caveat - you’ll have to eventually relocate to Seattle or Arlington/dc area if you get the role
Just saw this comment, I will start looking today! Is Seattle and Arlington the only places that run this program ? I currently live in San Diego and would like to stay. Does the position switch to remote once you have been promoted to account executive ?
I wouldn’t care as much about the best pay for an SDR but more for the averagr time it takes for an SDR to get to AE and company reputation. You’ll likely be in a similar range if you go at top Software companies +- $10k. What really matters it’s how long you’ll stay on average as an SDR/BDR before moving up to AE and the reputation of the firms as you will get more offers after 2 years. Salesforce and AWS are both great. If you go to smaller firms, you might be able to move up faster but you will likely have to grind way more. Litterally no one gets fired as an SDR at Salesforce and everyone get to AE in 2 years or less (at least it used to be).

I would look for pre ipo companies (not early start ups), companies like Databricks are good.. snowflake is good also (though public company). You can also try at a salesforce, aws, Microsoft which is probably the easiest bdr roles since they have customers that just come to them, therefore should be less outbound cold grind.
Awesome thanks for the info!!
