I finished my onsite interview with Facebook yesterday. The recruiter told me today that there was no headcount in my preferred location (not moving right now because of life stuff) and that headcount might be open in late Feb or early March but that I should let her know if I was interested in roles in MPK. Is this basically a soft reject? Or is this a signal that my packet was strong and that she thinks an offer could come through when there is headcount? Mostly asking because I have other processes and honestly I’d choose Facebook over anything else and I would totally wait around for open headcount if that was the deal but also I don’t want to end my other interview processes on account for an offer that might not come through. #facebook
Ya, feel free to DM me.
Can I dm? I have product sense/ sql next week
Why stop interviewing at other companies? Just say you are interested if headcount opens up at your location and continue interviewing elsewhere in the meantime
Lol ya one of my mentors talked some sense into me on that front.
OP do you mind if I message you for product sense prep?
Hey, in case you're still on this account, what ever happened with this? I'm in a similar situation now.
I think if it was a reject they would just reject you. Don’t think they’re worried about hurting your feelings when they reject piles of candidates every day.
That makes sense! I mostly wonder if she’s seen my interview feedback and thinks I’m a strong candidate or if she’s just relaying that information regardless of feedback.
Was it for ic5 btw? Or ic4?
