Facebook ASIC Design intern vs Microsoft Azure DV intern
Hi all, I'm currently a grad student with 3.5 yoe in FPGA design. I currently have 2 competing offers from FB & MS for the above teams in verification roles in Bay Area. 1. I would like to move to design roles in the future and how does the flexibility to transition to design in both companies compare? 2. Also, while transitioning to a full-time role in either of these companies, will they consider my previous YOE or will they give me a new grad position? #hardware #asic #semiconductor #microsoft #facebook #internship
I've only had a DV internship role, but fuck me it was boring I'd 100% choose asic design
Take FB. Even if you don’t convert to full time, you will have a brand name on your resume which will make things easier later. Not that MS is bad, but FB is more flashy in comparison. Also benefits would be better at FB in general.
Make a poll Early in career, go to Facebook, but concert to fte is hard there because it’s all depends on performance, but It will be easy in Microsoft.
