Hey folks, Just wanted to share my process on the background screening with facebook, hope it will be helpful for others. Had a wonderful experience and it was pretty fast. Level: E5 Software Engineer YOE: 9 yrs(Startups, worked all across the stack) Loc: Menlo Park Vendor: HireRight is the vendor used by facebook atleast for me to do the screening Day1: Signed the offer on facebook portal Day1: Got a background screening questionaire from Hire Right Day1: Filled out all the past employer, education and visa details Day2: Submitted the necessary docs, w2's pay stubs etc for supporting to speed thing up but its not needed to be honest. Day5: Got the report from HireRight and was sent to facebook with everything green. From what I noticed below the info they checked - Education background the latest one. Its master degree for me here - Last 3 employers or last 5 yrs experience with the employer - Criminal history based on you residing locations from the past thorugh on your social security number. Also you can find my post on the H1B transfer timeline here with facebook if it helps -> https://www.teamblind.com/post/Facebook-H1B-Transfer-Timeline-rTdtLFGM Overall it was super fast and was very happy the whole thing.
Did you cash out big with any of the startups?
Nope, but I don't regret to be honest. Atleast the the knowledge I received and the connections I made were well worth it.
TC or GTFO
What do you mean you submitted pay stubs?
You can submit pay stubs for employment proof if you don't want them to contact your company
Hi OP - Did your Hireright report status eventually change to “adjudicated by FB”? Waiting for my background check to clear too.
Facebook didn't personally notified me. It shows up as a green check mark on the portal for Background and Workday process. But I also verified with my recruiter in a week after Hire sent out their reports to facebook to ensure there were no issues. Normally facebook would reach out to you if they saw any issues, if not you don't need to worry
What does "from the past past thorugh on your social security number" mean?
@op Does FB require you signature to their offer? Do they require you to accept using signature or just verbally and send you the letter to join? Some companies I've worked in the past didn't require to return their offer with signature.
Congrats! What's your YOE?
Updated the post with that info
