Got an IC5 FB DE offer: 190/350/20 +15% target bonus How much room do I have to negotiate? What's the max offer one can get for IC5? Still interviewing, should get competing offers soon. Plan to use those to negotiate (expecting some offers from onsites given after fb) YOE: 12 TC: 240k @facebook #facebook #facebookdata #facebookdataengineer #facebookoffer #facebookoffers
Heavy low balled. Recruiter is playing with you. Ask for 200/500/80
He is a data engineer Offer is good for DE but can go up a bit if negotiated
Correct. This is for DE. What’s the max for DE at level 5?
Some recruiter just want to play before giving you real offer, this is one example of it. Stick to your demand and do heavy negotiation.
Thanks. Do you know the max ic5 offer? Don’t want to ask an unrealistic number nor do I want to leave anything on the table.
Fb is hiring in bulk. They will try hard to get you hired. The number I put are realistic. Start with base salary negotiations and then ask for more stocks finally be stubborn on having higher joining. You will get it much better than you have now. This is one time opportunity don’t lose it.
What was asked in onsite interview? Is the offer for Seattle?
Go through the package share by recruiter. It has all details you need to prepare Yes, Seattle
Op, negotiate well but don’t trust the other FB commenter. He’s just rambling. DE/DS/PM/TPM do not make SWE equivalent salary. It’s usually and always less than SWE for the same level. If you’re in the range of 0.6 to 0.7 times SWE, I’d say go for it.
Thanks for the advice. What is the max of ic5 for swe? And there’s a lot of difference between 60-70%
Looks solid. I’d go for it.
Would u mind sharing ur interview experience OP?
Onsite has 4 rounds Tech1 Tech2 Tech3 Ownership your recruiter will give you details about what to expect in each, that's exactly what happened. All interviewers were pleasant to speak with, willing to work through the technical difficulties of a virtual onsite, and in general rooting for me. I had a positive experience.
Does anyone have details on what the max for each component is? From all places i've looked (salaries on levels and h1bdata), max base seems to be 194k stocks also seem to max out at 400 (can it go higher)? Haven't found much information about the max sign-on?
Lol, kitna lega fb ki??? 😂
Jitna denge utni loonga Iske baad to fb lega meri 🤣
I have an on-site next week. How do the tech interviews compare to the phone screen? More challenging coding problems?
How much preparation should I put into the non-tech material?
Is it for the product analytics group. If so, just have some examples of how you collaborate, how do you deal with conflict Otherwise concentrate on the tech 1-3 interview prep
