#facebook #offer Hello Blind community, trying to get some insights to help me evaluate an offer. Currently working as 63 SDE. TC around 270 mainly due to stock appreciation. I recently interviewed with Facebook and got an offer, however I feel I got down-leveled since the offer is for E4. I was hoping to get E5, already talked with recruiter and hiring manager, but the hiring committee won't budge. Over all I like what I hear at Facebook and would like to give it a try, but I'm not sure if moving from 63 to E4 is a wise move or not. From a TC perspective Facebook offer looks very similar to my TC, but refreshers at Facebook sounds more generous. Fb offer 165/365/55 (base/rsu/sign) Thanks for your feedback
E4 headcount open?
Yes as per my recruiter and limited . They are more selective now .
OP, do you want to refer me to Microsoft before you leave for FB?
Say you’ll do it for 10k more in sign-on
Why would you move for the same TC but much worse wlb ? Try again in a year for L5 maybe ?
TC feels a bit low tbh
I feel it’s very close to max E4 which is 167/400
Unfortunately, that's very close to E4 top band. I might get a little extra, probably rsu, but not a huge difference
What’s your yoe?
1.5 years as sdet, 7 years sde
When did you interview and how long it took to get an offer?
Interviewed probably December last year, due to holidays I was told I wouldn't get response until first or second week of January
Congratulations OP. Which location ?
Seattle, I didn't want to relocate
I’d take it. Do you have any other offers?

refreshers and easier path to E5 will mean future TC >>> Microsoft. E5 onboarding is more difficult than E4.
What's the difference with E5 onboarding?
Yeah what is different?
