I will be interviewing for the FE Internship role at FB in a few days (technical phone screen). I've already gotten a response from the recruiter that the interview is going to be HTML/CSS/JS-oriented. But that can mean a lot of things. Do you know does FB ask to fully implement UI components (like a clock for example - image below), or really anything that requires a significant amount of CSS/playing with the attributes and positioning? Especially because they don't have live reload. Has anyone had experiences with FB FE / FE Intern interviews? Is there more focus on Vanilla JS or HTML/CSS? I don't have much time to practise, but the insight from your comments could lead me in the right direction to spend a few days to recap some of the HTML/CSS specifics.
Facebook is a plague on society. Decline the internship interview and pursue one of dozens of other opportunities. FB now allowing political candidates to lie in their advertising to drive engagement. Heinous.
Don’t sweat too much over memorizing css properties, as long as you have a general understanding of layout and can come up with different ways of achieving something ur good. I’d practice implementing random stuff in Js to prepare
So is it realistic to get a question like - design a clock that updates every second, like a regular clock would?
I guess? But I would lean towards it being more likely that you get plain js questions
