Big Tech Companies ask a lot of algorithmic question, everybody knows that. Usual Software Engineering Internships almost always are 90% algorithmic problems. Investigating a bit more on the internet I found that for front end intern roles (like this one: https://www.facebook.com/careers/jobs/392316978104785/) algorithms are second priority. They test interns primarily on HTML/CSS/JS knowledge. Has anyone had some past experiences with frontend roles at Facebook? I'm having an interview soon and would like to know what to expect. I will also ask my recruiter that question when I get to the phone screen.
I recently got a Frontend Engineering offer from Facebook. You have to know your data structures & algorithms hard cold. Untop of that master JavaScript. It’s algorithm heavy just wrapped with Frontend looking stuff.
Really? So many posts here said no LeetCode :(
Maybe for internships, but for a full time offer you have to know your CS basics
A lot of interns work on front end at Facebook. The intern interview process is the same regardless of role though I’m pretty sure. You only get to choose whether you want backend vs front end in like April/May way after you sign the offer.
And what about System Design questions? Are they even asked for intern positions? And can SD be something frontend related?
Highly doubt FB is asking SD for interns, they don’t even ask to new grads
