I read on a blind post that HC meetings happen every Thursday. I interviewed ~ 2 weeks ago so I assume my HC meeting was yesterday. I guess a reject would happen today if HC didn't go well? Recruiter has been beyond unresponsive since interview. It's painful. Have competing offers so I just want to know what the status of things are. If HC yesterday was positive any idea on timeline from here?
Candidate Review happens multiple times a week. Before getting to candidate review, the interviewers on your loop need to all submit their feedback and then agree on how to proceed. There is then another “debrief” stage where your packer is reviewed by calibrated interviewers who once again decide how to proceed (reject/ask for more signal/proceed to CR). Then CR reviews the packet and can make the same determination. If they need additional signal they could either get it from the interviewers or by scheduling another interview if it’s not there.
Thanks to both of you! It's been so long. And recruiter has answered a few times to my followup emails saying to have a chat on xx day. On that day I reach out asking for time preferred by them and no reply. He did mention at some point that the process was proceeding on their end and mentioned that it's positive. But 2 weeks to get back to me even once with status knowing that I have competing offers? I don't get it. Maybe they're hoping to more better qualified candidates before making a decision.
I guess I'm annoyed because it stalling me from moving forward with the other offers that I have and if I could just move forward I'd be able to probably even squeeze more out of these companies. But Facebook is Facebook and I kinda want it bad.
what are your other options? and have you mentioned this to the recruiter?
My guess is that the outcome is negative. The recruiter should be much more proactive about connecting with you if they thought there was a realistic possibility of hiring you. They are goaled on how many candidates they bring in.
Fair enough but then why keep me in limbo for ~2 weeks and say that the process is proceeding "which is a positive sign".. maybe I'd just handle things differently if I were a recruiter 😂
I am in a similar situation. Had an interview last week and didn’t get any communication so far. I have other offers. Did you interview in Seattle or Bellevue? The recruiter initially said I will know within a week. Usually if passed, 1-3 days have been the usual time. Anything more than that time has been a reject for me. Even if the actual offer delivers later than that, the recruiter calls and tells me to wait. I guess I didn’t pass.
Seattle for me.. I think 1-3 days is not usual for fb to get offer.. immediate reject might take that time. It's hard to say I wish I actually knew what's going on. You think since they're taking more than a week it's a reject? Could be ... I'm at 2 weeks now. But I feel like reject should have already came.. I think if it takes this long they're on the fence.. they may come back with another interview.. offer or reject.. who knows.. annoying :)

I hope it's positive for you. When the feedback is good, recruiters are incredibly eager to close your case. Especially in my experience with FB.
Is that the case for internships too?
I heard their internships pipeline have been incredibly backlogged this term, might just be taking longer than usual
