Hey Guys I recently interviewed for Internal Solutions Engineer at Facebook. Of 5 total onsite interviews, I took time to solve a coding problem on whiteboard and did not even get a chance to code it on coderpad. I just gave a high level solution at the end. The problem was not too Hard and I was able to solve it when i got my cool mind at home in evening .. :D I feel that my other 4 interviews which consisted of 1 coding, 1 system design and 2 general/behavioral rounds went good . Its been 8 days now and I have not heard back from recruiter. What are the odds of getting an offer in this situation ? TIA
Is internal solutions engineer different from a regular Solutions Engineer at FB? I've read that the coding bar is much lower for Solutions Engineers so you may still have a shot. It's been 8 days, I'd email the recruiter and check in. Can I PM you?
Yes sure
How quickly did they contact you back about your application? Did they email or call you? I've applied to facebook several times but haven't gotten a response back.
I got an email from a recruiter if i was interested in this role. Though, I had applied for SWE roles several times but they never reached me back for those roles.
I'd recommend finding a technical sourcer or recruiter online (linkedin) and reaching out to them instead of just applying cold. Applying cold works but having a recruiter is way easier.
Did you ever hear back about this position?
