Just did a specialized ML role interview at Facebook and the last interview was titled "in-domain" which the recruiter had told me would be a technical interview on the domain knowledge required for the team. My other interviews were 2xcoding + 1 ML design + behavioral. The in-domain ended up being a question on how to do ML computations at scale. Definitely wasn't domain related and the guy had no idea what this in-domain BS was. I did well on every interview except for that one which he basically he walked me through the whole thing for. What was this last interview and is there any hope for an offer after this?
I suspect that ML interview at Facebook is not as well-established. I was not impressed by my ML design interview round in which the interviewer wanted me to design for a hypothetical task that doesn’t resemble what Facebook typically faces.
