Facebook Onsite done. Recruiter says " I have update ."
Hey Blinders, I did my FB onsite for PM role at FB MLK this week. Got an email today saying there is an update to discuss next week. Is this something like a standard response before being rejected or anything positive to hope for?
It's a reject , update is always ba reject , offer is usually "next steps"

Thats how I got the “update” as well that they have decided to go with other candidates. I would think its a negative, but good luck - hope it works out for you.

I think after 2 days maybe, it was fairly quick.
If it were good news the recruiter would indicate it in the email. The fact that it's an update and waiting for next week is a clear indication of rejection.
This is false, I got an “update next week” email from FB and got an offer
I recently got an update email and it was to tell me they wanted me to come back to redo one of the interviews. I had done really well in 3 of the 4, and so they gave me one more chance. So it all depends.

Asked twice via email. Recruiter keeps saying yeah lets talk this week... Won't give me a date and time to talk. What's going on guys! Waiting for another guy to accept offer?
Did they reject you?
It just means there is an update..... could be bad, good, or neutral. Recruiters shouldn’t reject or approve by email. So they’ll call you either way
Facebook definitely rejects by email after on-sites. Not sure if my experience was normal or just a bad recruiter, but it happens. Also didn't reply to a follow-up email from me.
