I was told from former Facebook PMs that they don't ask Facebook-specific questions (i.e how would you improve FB marketplace) for product sense or execution. Is that true? It's weird because I am seeing a lot of FB related questions on feedback reported on Glassdoor.
Four years ago, I stopped an interview mid way as the recruiter asked for ideas to improve a real feature over and over again. I said, half jokingly, you should hire me for more ideas. He didn’t find it funny, I lost interest in Facebook, and it couldn’t have been better as I love my role at Google.
Product sense can be anything. Execution most often is FB specific.
Where to practice execution questions?
You can find them online or you can literally make them up yourself. How would you define success for X FB product? If you see that metric X is going up but metric Y is going down, how would you approach it?
They do.
