for a Strategic Partner Manager at FB (non technical role) what would the expected TC look like for 7-10 years of experience? would it matter if that partnerships manager worked in Music vs Entertainment vs Sports? all roles based in LA/NYC
I’d presume that the partnerships TC would be comparable to marketing TC. you’d be an ic5 or 6, depending on how large your company was (Director at startups wouldn’t really count). IC5 total comp is around $250-275K ($130-160k base, 15% bonus, RSU, without signon) IC6 TC is around $300-315k ($150-200k base, 20% bonus, RSUs, without signon) Ent vs sports won’t matter, just like PMM for product X and PMM for product Y have similar comp. If you are negotiating, I’d just ask what level they are considering you for and push to get higher IC from the get go. Either way, you should ask what level and they will tell you. Will you be a people manager? You have to be a minimum of IC5 equivalent to be a people manager so if you are, you can rule out IC4.
7-10 years would probably bring you in around IC4 or IC5? Range would likely be $115-135K base with no sign on and meh stock. Industry doesn’t make a difference
I’m not super familiar with how FB levels translate, but if I’ve been a Director at another company (~25 in web with 5 direct reports) that seems to net around IC5-6? Or no?
That would likely only translate if you were applying for a leadership position but you’re applying for an IC position right? 7-10 is also a bit of a broad range. 7 is border line IC4/5 whereas 10 is closer to IC5/6. That said I’m not a recruiter so can’t say for sure.
