Facebook Product Design Interview
Had initial phone screen with a recruiter for product design. He scheduled two back to back interviews (past work and app critique). He never responded to questions I had while preparing my past work presentation. I had the two interviews 8 days ago. I reached out to him for feedback. Still no response. We had Fri-Mon off, so your recruiter probably was offline. You should hear back soon enough. Recruiter has to wait for interviewers, who also has Fri-Mon off to submit feedback
Is it weird that I never heard back from him since he set up the original interviews though? I asked questions and never got any responses back before the interviews. Now I'm not getting responses back for feedback.
Idk whether it’s weird bc you said it had been 8 days but many of those were company holidays
Hmm yeah I got my responses fairly quickly (3 days), but I’m sure it’s because of the long holiday weekend that they’re backed up.

My recruiter responded better when I texted them directly as opposed to email. If you have their number, you might get better results from a friendly text.

Similar boat. Had product design full loop interview June 1st week. No response after. Checked in with recruiter once. They said they’ll get back to me by Friday. But they didn’t.
Did you hear back? I’m in the same boat. It’s been over a week for me and I still haven’t heard anything.
THANK GOD SOMEONE SAID IT. Facebook's design recruitment is a raging dumpster fire. I've had multiple people reach out to me randomly. I've had multiple interviews where I went through then it stopped then switched me to another team, went through a couple of rounds then ghosted. Then a random email which says hey forget those roles are you interested in this one. And then after speaking 4 different managers and getting positive feedback (recruiters words) I was told "we will find the right role" with no other information. This btw has happened multiple times over the course of 2-3 years with multiple teams. They really have no idea how to treat people. I have had multiple offers from FAANG companies and work for one currently. I am never speaking to these morons again.
What does a product design interview look like? Do you mind running through what needs to be covered?
