**Update: Didn’t get the offer Facebook folks here- Recently I had a virtual onsite interview with Facebook for Product Experience Analyst role. Recruiter has emailed today for scheduling a call to share the update. Since she didn’t mention “a good news” or anything like that in the email, does that mean it is a reject? Hoping it’s not, what’s the TC and breakdown for this role? Location: Menlo Park/Seattle YOE: 5.5 in Business Intelligence Current TC: $150k in Seattle #facebook #analytics #compensation #productanalytics #data #dataanalytics #dataanalyst
What did she say?
She just mentioned that she was able to connect with the hiring team and has an update to share.
What was the update
Have a call tomorrow
What skill set do you have apart from sql , r u good with python , r and have data science skills? Do you also have product analyst experience, thanks
Hey. Just started a little bit ago in PXA. Usually you have a follow up interview with a specific team that you may be placed on.
Does PXA have the same pay band as DS?
Thanks for the reply! What’s the typical compensation for my experience level? Recruiter had mentioned earlier comp is decided based on your total experience and interviews.
PXAs are technical analysts that work on ads products and solutions to inform data driven decisions. Re: Compensation, I’m gonna have to say it’s lesser than DS but since it’s a tech role you’ll be paid well. At least better than current day Expedia.
Thanks! Yeah totally. Hoping the decision is positive I just want to know how much I can ask for as the recruiter would likely discuss it on the call.
Not really. You can let the the recruiter know that you need a day to process the numbers, discuss it with family and come back with negotiations, if any. That’s the normal protocol. They wouldn’t expect you to open a negotiation dialogue during the phone call.
Tbh ime any email about an update that doesn’t have blatant positive vibes is usually bad news. But In general, try to not think about it until the call happens, no one knows And also 5.5 yoe is usually the cusp of l4 and l5. I imagine l4 pay won’t exceed $170-180k for an analyst role
Yeah you were right. Just had a call with the recruiter, didn’t make it.
May I know what was covered in the interview process? What tech skills besides SQL? And how about product sense and case questions? Thanks.
Sql was it. All product and case other than that.
How did the interview go? Could you please share some tips and quro?
Does someone know the comp range for PXA IC5?
Probably good news. All the best
Thanks bud! I hope the same. Any idea on the compensation details?
Why would it be good news?
