Received generalist E5 offer. Interested in learning more about this AI rotational program that is applicable for team match. Can anyone share some insights? Does it impact the short term growth and promotion because you are in "training" phase during the rotation? https://ai.facebook.com/blog/facebook-ais-raise-program-an-innovative-new-career-pathway-into-ai/ #facebook
I applied for this role and got rejected. What was your background op?
Backend/distributed system with a little ML experience but not much. Have a PhD in non-AI field, but figure this could be a good career to pursue in the ling run.
Interested. Have you started the boot camp and offered to join this program? I am joining as E5 as well.
Not yet. Just this program caught my eyes when I was doing some prep work on understanding teams. I feel this is a great opportunity, but also worry about the short term impact you can make and given Facebook is very impact driven.
Was the offer a standard e5 offer? Some rotational programs come with a much lower offer
Are you going to start remote?
Any updates on this OP? I'm interviewing for this and interested to know
Also I'm worried if this doesn't have a stock grant for two years?
Did you start at Fb OP?

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Rotation is generally for people who didn’t do as well in the interview. Treat it like an extended internship
This is not the same rotation you mentioned. Seems for more experienced people (5 yoe) who received legit full time offer and aims to train generalist into AI specialist. https://ai.facebook.com/blog/facebook-ais-raise-program-an-innovative-new-career-pathway-into-ai/
