I'm moving to Facebook next month, the position is E5 RS in Machine Learning. I want to move out of SF/Bay, possibly to NYC. What's the best strategy for that? I'm thinking of the following: 1. Spend one more year in SF, get to know the company and the people in the team, next year ask to move to NYC and/or find a team that is based in NYC. How easy is it to change the team in FB? 2. They will be WFH policy till Dec right? So move to NYC right away and work from there, when the WFH ends ask the manager to remain in NYC. Any advice? Thanks! #remotework #wfh TC: 415K/year + 100K signing YOE ~4yrs
TC or GTFO. FB is allowing most E5+ to be remote full-time, but requires you to been in the company for 2 review cycle.
How long is each review cycle?
Source?
Do you hold a PhD? If not, how did you get RS position?
Yes, PhD
FB/FAIR already has an office in NYC -- Figure out if you already have teammates based out of that office.
Can I dm you, OP?
Point 2. TC & YOE
Added TC in the original post. Is TC always to be posted? First timer here.
