People usually go north of the river because the northern line connects all the offices. I find the north to be kind of meh. The vibe some of the places have at night just doesn’t feel super safe to me (Camden, Kentish, etc). I’m sure there are safe places in the north, I just didn’t want to look that hard to find the perfect one for me. I opted for South London. Connection isn’t the best, but given the current wfh situation I think it’s a better choice overall. Much more green and chill lifestyle compared to the central and north. For other places FB people live in — I’d say Wembley park is common and also some parts of East London as well. East I found to be a bit more artsy and quirky than what I would like.
Thanks for the detailed info @xnbniwjs
Walthamstow, Camden, Islington
It depends a lot of what do you prefer. Take a look at rightmove.co.uk, filter by added on the last 3 days, go to the map view and find places that you like.
How about Hoxton, Shoreditch in terms of vibe, safety and houses?
It massively depends on the type of person you are and what kind of vibe you’re looking for, I live east and have done for years and love it. Very creative and trendy, good social scene/nightlife. It’s well connected with central and northern lines all getting you into Rathbone very easily. And it’s very green as well if you feel the need for a bit of nature when the city gets too much.
Which part of East do you live sounds like a great locality as per your description
