Had a Facebook onsite and the recruiter came back with news that everyone liked me and that I passed everything but they weren’t convinced on coding and so they want me to do another 45 minute coding interview onsite. FML. I don’t know if I even have a question for you all. Has this ever happened to you? I really like the team and position.
Calm down, it means you’re almost in, but need just to beat one more leetcode.
Yeah basically means all you have to do is pass this lone interview to get an offer Grind some LC and you'll be good
Did that. They rejected me anyway.
Did you study more the second time?
Had to do an extra take home assignment (open ended). Got a really good offer afterward.
FB gives take home assignment? What was it about
They did this to me 4 years ago for system design. I was apparently so bad that I failed second system design too. Got an offer from Google though back then, downleveled to L4. Learnt a lot here since, now L5. FWIW I agree I was weak on sys design back then, since I didn't know much about distributed systems. But really glad I got to come to Google instead. Done really well here so far.
I got asked for "one more coding problem" once before and they hit me with a bitmask DP thing. I thought my answers semeed fine the first time around tbh
Means you are on the verge of being rejected. They called me for another round of system design then rejected.
Happened with me few years ago. The one coding round they called me back for went worse
Did you study more for the second one?
Yeah, I've heard this happens a lot. Study more and good luck OP.
