I have an offer from Facebook as an iOS Developer. To all mobile developers of Facebook, 1) Are there any teams that use swift extensively? 2) Heard a lot about hacky codebases of Facebook, due to “Move Fast” culture. Is it similar for iOS packages? How maintainable would you rate your iOS packages? 3) Any difference in work life of mobile engineer vs backend dev. Do you guys spend less time firefighting bugs in code compared to say Infra teams? Mind sharing what system design question was asked in the interview for iOS position at Facebook?
The question I got was design Facebook. Then clarified the requirements and we agreed to just include status updates, so essentially just a Twitter newsfeed.
Can you please share your experience and the way you prepared..
OP - can you please share what type of system design question was asked and if possible what sort of iOS related questions were asked
Mind sharing your experience for the iOS onsite interview?
Came with hopes of finding an answer… found questions only
You should check out Ramp for iOS development. We are looking to go Mobile and have an exciting greenfield opportunity. We are a Unicorn startup less than 3 years old and already valued at 3.9B. DM if you’re interested. And we will def be using Swift!
