Whats the difference between Facebook e4 and e5 interview. Both seem to have same number and type of rounds.
What advice would you give for someone with less experience(3.5)trying to clear e5.
May make more sense to come in at E4, knock it out of the park in terms of "impact," and then ask your manager about E5. Given you only have 3.5 YOE this may be your only option.
There is hiring freeze for e4 so I am being considered for e5 no choice.

The questions are the same at any level but more depth and details are expected with each subsequent level.
OP - do they tell you the onsite sounds information beforehand? If yes, how before? I ask because I cleared phone screening and setup onsite in 2 weeks. How many design rounds for you for e5?
They told me after phone interview. 1 design
Okay. I will check with the recruiter. Thanks ! Also folks from FB - what's the pattern if we do well in the coding but not so great in distributed systems design? I don't have any experience designing and maintaining distributed systems - so all my knowledge is going to be bookish knowledge. I am worried if my performance in the design round will jeopardize my offer chances.
If you don't have experience doing distributed systems, tell the recruiter you don't want to do a distributed systems interview. There should be a couple other options for the design round depending on your background
You posted about this already but u must do well on the system design portions
Not me ! Posting on this for the first time. Thanks for the info though !
