Got FB E5 offer 185K/600K/80K. Is it a good deal for E5 or should I negotiate for a better deal?
What's your level at MSFT? Is this FB Seattle or FB Bay Area? Reason I ask is that I have a MSFT offer for more than that and I've been thinking of trying FB as well.
What’s ur msft level and offer breakdown?
L64 SDE 195k/550k/180k (B/R/S)
What's your YOE and do you have competing offers?
This is close to L6 offer. I got L6 210/700k/75
Rsu too low for l6
What is reasonable
Pretty damn good deal. You could potentially nudge to 190 but you're basically already at the top.
Solid, top of the range.
Similar to my e5 offer I just got right now, mine is 6k tc more. I had to push very hard for this offer (like 2 weeks of phone calls since I got my initial offer) Did you have to as well or was this your first offer?
Can you go over how you negotiated?
Literally just being willing to say No I’m not signing I had no other offers Harder than it sounds since it’s a gamble. My last conversation with the recruiter before I got my final nice offer was along the lines of “I guess it’s not going to work out this year, thanks for everything” (Snapchat is not so terrible comp-wise so it doesn’t really make sense to switch unless the money would be at least equal)
Awesome offer, congrats
New to the terminology, so pardon the question; but what does $a/$b/$c mean?
Usually it is Annual Base/RSU dollar value/Sign On Bonus
Largest is equity 2nd largest is base salary The remaining is bonus signing
It's a good E5 offer. Sign can go 80 --> 100k easily though.
Super hard to get $100k these days.
You can’t go easily to 100. 80 is already a stretch.
What’s the 80k?
Sign-On Bonus maybe?
is that 80 over 1 or 2 years?
