I have an onsite coming up at Facebook for SWE. I have few years of prior industry experience, but mostly on frontend tech. Do they typically ask system design interviews to new grads? If so what type of questions?
@OP I have an onsite coming up soon. How are you prepping?
Mostly did Leetcode problems and revised fundamentals.
Leetcode how many of them? Mediums or hards?
Yes. IMO it's the one that really matters, and there isn't a really good way to cram for it.
Agreed. Just wanted to get an idea of what type of design it would be. Would it be design tho data structure or would it be design this service?
Design this service, website, or system type questions. Some are also "You have these resources at hand, how would you do X" type questions. The specific question will vary from interviewers. Usually it's a single problem in a 45 minute session. If you don't know the normal loop, it's usually 1 system design session, 1 personality session, and 2 coding challenges.
Are you graduating in December?
Yes
Where did you work after your undergraduate? New grads are mostly hired at starting level so leetcode should be good.
Worked in India. Not sure if that experience is counted.
OP how was the onsite
OP how did the onsite interview go?
