Levels.fyi says Facebook senior staffs earn 1.38m per year which is much higher than the industry average. (Ex Google = 722k, uber = 880k, Amazon = 915k for senior principal). Is this compensation accurate? Any reason for such high comp?
It is an underestimate of TC this year with current stock price.
True. E5s are making $900k this year
Performance bar is high like being CTO of 100+ person company Makes sense to keep growing money machine
E7 probably make like 3M now.
Stock go brr
Senior staff who joined in 2022 is Making around 2-3 million easy

Since everyone is answering including stock growth I’ll share numbers I’ve heard for E7 (senior staff) external hires. 300k base 25% bonus = 375k cash 2.6M RSU over 4 years = 650k stock per year TC = just over $1M per year Sign on at this level can be over $100k, I know of at least one $150k sign on and rumors of higher. Stock is extremely negotiable. 1.8M on the low side, 2.6 is toward the top of band.
Stock refresh at this level is 400-500k per year as well, so every year your comp goes up around $100k until your 4 year cliff.
What's the hire comp for E6? Levels.fyi is all stock growth'ed
It’s not accurate as 1.38M is the comp for E5 senior eng
