Trying to decide what my final internship will be since it seems I can only do one since the start dates for both aren’t very flexible. I previously interned at Amazon and want to go to a company where I can learn a lot, grow quickly career wise, have a lot of autonomy, and work on interesting problems. I’d also be interested in starting my own startup in the near to long term. Both Nuro and Facebook have really strong engineers and Nuro obviously has more upside of the company does well but also a lot more risk cause it’s in the autonomous vehicle space. I’m curious which one people would choose. Thinking ahead for full-time, this year’s new grad Nuro TC is pretty surprising, it’s 251k (including paper RSUs) and 10k more can be negotiated to the signing bonus (30k -> 40k): Title: Software Engineer Location: San Francisco Salary: $146k/year Stock/Recurring Bonuses: 12% annual perf bonus, 230k/4 year RSU Relocation/Signing Bonus: 30k signing Total Compensation: 251k first year, 221k recurring Idk if I can get greatly exceeds for Facebook (266k first year, 191k recurring) so I’m gonna assume I can maybe get this offer: Location: Bay Area Salary: 124k Stock/Recurring bonus: 160k/4 years Relocation/Sign on bonus: 50k signing, 10k relocation Total Compensation: 224k first year, 164k recurring

LOL that's what I kinda felt as well when searching Nuro engineers on LinkedIn
What's the Nuro vesting schedule? How is life at Nuro? I would assume Nuro has more interesting problems.
You are right
