Facebook vs Uber Work Life Balance
I’m in finals at Facebook, and I’m curious to hear from anyone who might be able to say how the two companies compare on WLB? FB’s ratings on here and on GlassDoor are pretty bad on this front. I consider Uber to be “normal” for a tech company: on-call rotations, some nights/weekends around deadlines/launches, but otherwise typically 9-5/10-6 (I actually work more like 8-5 because a lot of my team is East Coast or EMEA). I have a lot of friends that left Uber for fb- they say fb is worse
My team has someone from FB. Not sure why they left, but they are here
They might have been PIPed at Fb
They used to be similarly bad but after 2017 Uber got better while Facebook did not

Uber is team by team. Some teams are similar to Google some Marketplace ones are as toxic as facebook and amazon.
How do we know before singing up ?
You need to join the teams vouched by someone you know
