HR contacted me and told that they are hiring for London. I asked for US then she said it will take time and joining will happen in next year april/may. I want to ask fb blinders, if I go for London, is it possible for me to transfer to US office later? And if most importantly does my stock and salary get upgraded to US one if I am able to transfer? I know they pay less in London.
Definitely possible *IF* you get a visa
Fb direct move to us will take really long and is competitive. So there's a chance you'll not get. Better to go to London and then move
HR said they are hiring for US only issue is VISA issue which will take time to resolve. There is no problem from Facebook
Wdym by only issue is visa? They will need to get you on an h1b right? And thats totally luck based
Hey what's your yoe? Which level is fb London hiring for right now?
7 e5
Ohh, looks like no e3/e4 then
Isn’t the UK xenophobic since Theresa May? So UK now has no STEM talents to the extent that UK looses visa criteria?
Wtf are you talking about? Theresa May xenophobic? No stem talent in UK? Visa criteria loosen? How can you say so many inexact things in 3 lines?? Hats down to you
UK has nothing to do with London. UK is pretty traditional and based, but London is full homoglobo so you should be fine
US visa is a huge pain to get, and it's literally a lottery where the odds aren't in your favor. Go with London then look to internal transfer.
@modichela Can I DM you to know more about your interview experience?

Why do Indians support Israel so much( on blind surprisingly) when Israel really thinks 💩of them ?
It is possible to transfer. Takes 2 year on avg for L1 transfer. Only your base salary gets adjusted. RSU and rest everything else remains same.
RSU is the biggest concern, its almost half in London.
Yea. If your end goal is to come to US would suggest you to join Amazon India and take the L1 route.
