Fb e4 vs Dropbox e5 vs Doordash e5
I have a few offers and am wondering which would you take? I prioritize interesting work, WLB and TC Dropbox IC3 (367k tc) Pros - good WLB, team sounded interesting-ish, slower pace so I think I can perform at e5 level, remote Cons - Dropbox’s stock price could drop Doordash e5 (350k tc) Pros - interesting work, based on team interview WLB seemed decent Cons - not remote, nervous that I won’t perform at e5 level with fast paced work environment Facebook e4 (294k tc) Pros - it’d be cool to work at the place where react was made, not nervous about performing at e4 level, I think FB’s stock is most likely to grow, has offices everywhere I’m interested in Cons - smallest TC, though comes with 75k bonus which makes first year TC same as Dropbox Current TC ~250k

Low offers for both DoorDash and Dropbox. What’s your base/rsu breakdown? DD can go upto 380-400 + sign on with competing offer - try to negotiate
I’ll try, they explicitly said I was cleared as a “low e5” so they may not bump it.

I had a one on one with a would be team mate. It sounded like he worked <45 hrs a week. How do you feel about WLB at doordash?
I work 8-9 hours a day Some people need to chill or set better boundaries / correct estimations …

Dropbox IC5 is staff engineer and is 650k-800k. What you got looks like lower end of IC3.
Yup! It’s IC3, I just said e5 to be consistent with Doordash/Facebook leveling
Fb isn’t a big enough jump. I’d go with Dropbox or doordash
Negotiate with Dropbox and ask them to at least make it 400, which is possible for ic3 here.

Been here for an year.. it’s been great so far, the work is more interesting than I thought as the company is constantly releasing new products. Wlb is amazing, didn’t work more than 7-8 hrs a day and never logged in on weekends. And luckily the stock has gone up 40% since I joined
I would say keep looking. All low end offers for t5
