Why Worshipping Lord Ram Important in Hinduism?
I'll be upfront, I wasn't laid off, I suffered from extreme burnout and had to take a career break. I'm not a 10x engineer, I didn't have a lot of impact. But I think I'm still ok at engineering. I was a backend L4 swe at Uber and worked at a FAANG before that. But I can't find a job now. Keep failing interviews. Everyone wants tons of experience or a super long drawn out interview process which I just don't have the energy for. I just want to code. I'll accept any salary! My only condition is no oncall 😥 I wish I had a network of people who could just refer me and give me a job
Any salary? Well, there are some companies that don't use leetcode style interviews, but they pay like crap. Try legacy defense companies, they ask behavioral questions only and don't ask much coding questions, maybe 1-2. But expect 160k TC for L4.
Oh, defense companies fit, I'm fine with that salary too, but I use weed so I wouldn't be able to get a security clearance and they want that for every role I see
Have to do something before, so I totally understand where you’re coming from. Hang in there, and I can refer you at Netflix if it fits
Can you pass the coding rounds? Why are you failing interviews, what is the feedback?
Are there jobs without oncall? Who’s gonna fix the stuff you break?
They'll fix. On-call is brutal for the timing, issues are sometimes made to look critical even when they aren't
Switch to an easier company. San Francisco big tech is actually pretty shit for people that want to have balance in their lives.
If you see a job listing at Deloitte that you want to apply for - then DM me the job ID and your resume and I’ll refer you before you apply: https://apply.deloitte.com/careers/SearchJobs?sort=relevancy
I think you should look for a job in a mid tier company and that’ll help have some life for a while
That's a great idea but I tried, the mid tier companies don't want me either. I don't know why
Microsoft has a bunch of mid tier retirement group. Join us
