I returned my old iPhone in a trade in kit. Put a lot of tape around it and gave it to FedEx Now apple says they received an empty box Has this happened to anyone else? TC200
Was it insured? Probably default $100
I had apple care on the old iPhone but I don’t think that it applies since it was not in my hands when it got stolen
govteh8t meant if the package was insured. USPS Priority comes with $100 insurance but it’s like pulling teeth to get them to pay out. I’m unsure if FedEx comes with any default insurance but I assume Apple gave you the shipping label so adding it would not have been your choice. And I bet it’d be hard to get any shipping service to pay out because the package got there so as far as they’re concerned they did their job.
Check the receipt for the weight, that will prove that has something in it (equivalent to iPhone weight)
There is no weight on it
FedEx is basically a bunch of crooks with zero accountability
Shut your mouth
It could have been someone at Apple too.
FedEx is the worst, and they lost the package of my new phone before.

USPS stole my Dad’s Apple Watch yesterday
Ah look at you blaming FedEx for everything. WHAT IF I told you OP never put his stinky iPhone in the box and dropped it off empty? No? You won't believe that would ya?
There is proof that the weight when I dropped is different from when apple received. They already closed the case in my favor. You work for a very shitty company
Good for you buddy. Nobody is forcing you to use FedEx, try USPS next time. I don't care what you think of FedEx, I like what I do and I like the pay. End of story.
