Just got a Verizon offer. Need to know if I can or should counter and if that would work. 120k base 12.5k sign on 0 stock 6% stock and 12% bonus each year. I asked for 135k even though Glassdoor shows as high as 149k for the role. The role is for Senior QA Automation Engineer in Atlanta GA. Is that a good offer or should I counter for the asked and requested 135k plus the same sign on bonus? Thanks!

I’d push higher, worse they say is no. Mgr goes to HR with request and they either accept, counter, or deny. If HR denies, and Sr Mgr is competent, he will try to get Dir/VP involved for approval - all depends on the org though. If I spent all this effort to interview, would not want to reopen the req and go through the interview loop again.
