I feel your pain. I’m in the same place. Work satisfaction has huge role to play. As is TC, in which case a new job makes more sense. Else, work on a personal project that makes you happy.

I’m sorry to hear that. The 20s are tough. So many decisions, so much questions. You should try to talk with someone: a friend, someone in your family, a doctor you trust. It’s normal to feel down sometimes. You’re not alone.

Get checked for depression. There are plenty of good medication and you'll feel good.

Sounds like ocd intrusive thoughts

Get sunshine and build muscle. Don't look for job satisfaction. That doesn't exist for most people. Aim for fulfillment outside of work.

I am in my late 20s as well. I have the same feelings. In my case I started saving and investing from my first paycheck so I have a decent amount of NW that will cushion me in the worst case scenario. After spending 5.5 years at a FANG and learning things the tough way, it seems to me that 2-3 years is the maximum amount of time you should work for a single company. Beyond that, unless you are a perfect fit, you’ll start getting bored, demotivated and stuck. Have you stuck to your employer for too long?

Brother I’m in my 40’s and I’m completely dead inside... TC 230K and I honestly couldn’t care less if I lived or died most days. I like MS and I do interesting work - I think this industry is just fruitless. I wish all of you nothing but the best and I hope you find the happiness that’s alluded me.
