Feeling so stupid
Had phone interview today with FB London, got 2 Leetcode Med problems that I solved before. First one went well, and the second one I thought it went well too. But now when I think of it, I missed a f*cking “break”. No wonder interviewer asked me to check my recursion but I still didn’t see it. Now I feel so god dang stupid. Come on guys, please cheer me up with your sarcasm.

Sigh, I hate interviewing. Everywhere I go, I change interview process if I can. 1. Real world coderpad exercise 2. Take home If you fuck that up, it’s on you.
I once had an interview with BBM Singapore they had same process. Take home project, then an interview with CTO. We had a pair programming that solves real problem with code follows TDD principles.

And how is Amsterdam? Got an offer for booking.com sometime back. Pretty sweet ppl who interviewed me. However the I turned down for other reasons.
If it makes you feel any better, I just failed my first Google phone screen. Interviewer felt that I was a good coder & had good knowledge of algos, but needed too many hints to arrive at the optimal solution.
That’s supposed to be the meaning of an interview, right? We can come up with solution with the help of teammates in a restricted time. They just have too many candidates to choose.

Well some people love their work. There's no work life balance, work is life. But some other people don't love it that much or have a life other than work. They would be forced to wotk off hours by peer pressure. So, depend on what do you want.
