Amazon feels like a depression machine right now. No motivation to work. Feeling sad, depressed, and lost. Feels like we can be thrown under the bus anytime. I worked at intel for 15 years and they always had layoffs. It killed morale and I was so much happier after I left. Ask the best

I think modern large companies are not doing it wrong, they have an actual strategy to bring people in hunger and turn them over for new people in a few years.
A lot the lay offs this time were due to smgs realignment creating role redundancies.

Layoffs will continue to happen for the next 5 years for all big tech even as reasons change from balancing overhiring to AI led productivity improvements. Eventually all big tech will aspire to get to the efficiency of X/Twitter. The faster you make peace with this reality, the more in control you would feel. Its not the strongest of a species that survive, but the ones most adaptive to change.
