Hi, I have two questions: 1. I have got an offer but they are saying they will do regular transfer instead of premium of H1, or I have to pay for premium, recruiter said you can join once they file the H1 on receipt bcoz approval will take time. Kindly let me know if someone went through that process is it safe to go ? 2. Kindly help me in evaluating this offer. Title : Senior Software Engineer Base - 115k Sign in bonus - 10k Annual bonus - 0-20 % Location - west lake, Texas YOE: 4 #fidelity #softwareengineersalary #H1b ransfer
Don't join .. low ball offer.
If this is a significant tc jump for you, then do join it. But would advise you to join the org only when you get the approval notice. It is the standard which everyone follows. Meanwhile, keep doing LC and all the best.
Tell them to file for premium...not worth joining on receipt
Joining on receipt is too risky. I did join on receipt but that was back in 2015. Fidelity is very frugal when it comes to supporting immigration. You have to pay for entire GC processing out of your pocket.
Don't join on receipt. Either pay yourself or keep looking for other opportunities.
Tell them to increase base by 5k. Pay for your own premium if they agree. Dont join on receipt.
Does waiting until normal processing is appropriate an option?
Looks about right for the role. You may ask for 5k upside on the base. Texas you’ll save on state taxes..offer is generally bit conservative compared to other locations …Go ahead on receipt notice , no point in paying 2500 out of pocket
