I know it’s been a brutal week of layoffs. Fidelity is hiring a ton. They may not be as competitive salary wise but work life balance is solid and the company is stable (private vs public) and there’s solid career mobility options internally. Feel free to reach out if you need a referral.
Do you guys hire Canadian Citizens? 👀
It depends but I think we are open to it for specific roles. There’s also a fidelity Canada presence too.
Sweet! I'm interested! I'll DM you for more deets if that's ok? 🙂
How's the wlb at Fidelity?
It’s really good and probably one of the biggest selling points IMO.
Fidelity was my first job after college. I am glad I got my start of the carrier there, but the pay was truley peanuts 🥜
Why is their pay so bad
The 401k match and profit sharing is extremely high. I had considered leaving but when I laid out all my comp against another offer, although the other company was offering a much higher salary, in TC it was actually a lot less. Now that definitely depends on the role and experience. I’ve seen developers leave for a lot more money.
Yes - considering it's tax free growth, not bad overall
Can you give us a range of TC they offering to investment and non-investment roles?
I actually found a few roles with them I was interested in. Problem is I don't live anywhere near them. What's the overall vibe with remote work?
Fid is already starting RTO efforts. 3 days a month mandatory. Likely going to be full RTO at some point.
Woof. If it was a few days a month or something I could swing taking a trip. But full RTO is a hard no-go. Thanks for the info!
I am starting at Fideltiy Investment next week. I was told that compnay will change from remote to hybrid… I didn’t know that 3 days a month mendatory already happened and full RTO lol Full RTO a bit of disappointed. I turn down goldmans sacs opportunity becasue they want me to be at office 4 days per week. Do you work at Westlake office ?
There has been no announcement re any full RTO nor have I heard any indication that that is being contemplated. Starting next month i have to be in office 3 days a month. That is really not that bad.
It's on a team by team basis, it's really the finance side going back in
HR and finance are going in 3 days every 4 weeks, Abby Johnson has committed to a hybrid environment so ft in the office is most likely not going to happen.
Can you provide a range for TC? For quant or data science roles?

Do you need financial industry experience for most roles there?
Nope. I came in with zero financial industry experience, as did many of my colleagues.
Great! Would love a referral for PgM roles there.
