Fidelity keeps turning off fingerprint authentication

There was a time they hid the feed in a moment of volatility. Now they are making it harder to log in, by requiring user name and password instead of simply fingerprint. Way to piss customers. Want to prevent people from over trading, slow them down if they are over trading. I'm just trying to look at my balance.

Yep it’s really annoying you can’t really use it.

Same with Facetime. It doesn’t work. Login with username and password is the only allowed option

Google JustJump Feb 1, 2021

Same here

Think it was a performance thing, the faceId auth timed out but user passwords worked still. I am using faceID again

Nah, they actively manipulate things in times of volatility. A couple years back, when Trump was all over Twitter shaking the stock market with threats of closing Amazon because Washington Post criticized him, they put a message stating that. They said they had temporarily removed the news feed because of volatility and that the news might not reflect the current situation. A couple weeks later they re-enabled it.
