Fidelity vs Amazon
I have an offer from Fidelity NJ and currently in loop rounds for Amazon for a Senior DBA/SDE role. I know for sure Amazon will pay higher but I don't have an offer yet and it will take time while Fidelity offer will expire soon. I'm worried about Work/Life balance for which Ive heard good things at Fidelity compared to AMZN. Yoe: Almost 5. Current TC: 120k Fidelity offer TC: 170k 122 base + sign on + Bonus + (401k +Profit). Is this a good step up, especially considering the COL of NY/NJ area? #tech #database #Fidelity #Amazon

Amazon can be pretty hectic. Not worth especially if you have a family or planning to start one

What's the role at Fidelity?
Same. Senior Software/DB engineer.
Base seems low for 5 YOE, I'm assuming it's sort of a DE role. I'm not sure how well Fidelity pays but just judging on the basis of your YOE and role. Can you check H1b data website? That's quite helpful.
