Should I fill this in, or am I just negotiating against myself? I would be targeting an L5 Product Manager role. I would like to get $180k base and $400k RSU (over 4 years), but not sure if that potentially sways the committee somehow? I don’t want to go to high and have them not extend an offer, nor do I want to go low and screw myself. Advice is appreciated! Edit: current TC at 250, YOE 5
You should go 20% higher than what you really expect. No comparisons would pull the offer bc you ask a lot more
Not an offer yet. The hiring committee is the final group that decides whether or not to extend an offer. My thinking is they won’t make an offer if salary expectations are wildly out of line
What company is this for?
Why wouldn’t your expectation be “market?”
Honestly I’ve been having a hard time figuring out what my market expectations should be. YOE 5 TC 250
