Finding a Social Media Job
I would like to know what it takes to get a social media job. I have experience in Social Media marketing and influencing but have yet to find, even, an entry level type role. Can anyone help?
Step 1: become famous
Everywhere I've been social media has been populated by bad marketers who can bullshit. So work on your bullshit.

Also I would recommended reaching out to some social media professionals for coffee and ask them questions in person. Establish a relationship with them, the network in SF is small. They often pass job opportunities to each other

Find Social Media internship opportunities and get some experience under your belt! It’s more than just posting a post but about creative content planning and campaigns!! :)
Get a freelance job in the mean time.
The only people I’ve met/worked with who knew what they were doing in social roles all came from twitter previously. So id start there.
