Fintech is the worst place during the recession. No one gives a damn about payment processing. It's a saturated industry and there's no innovation. Inflated bubbles such as Stripe, Plaid, and many other unicorns have lost 3/4th of their valuation. RIP Fintech.
Very true, OP RIP Stripe (Silicon Valleyâs Alibaba)
Youâre wrong. Fintech is the best place to be in at a time like recession
Why?
Have to be specific about what Fintech encompasses
Best place to invest in recession is self storages
Why
Even within Fintech thereâs a variety of businesses tbh. Iâd say Stripe is safer than something like the ads business. Like cloud computing itâs part of the infra of the service. BNPL and perhaps the neo banks are in much more danger
High interest rates are bad for a fintech company for sure. I feel thatâs driving the downturn in fintech.
there are way too many fintech companies. probably 75% of my inbound opportunities
Whatever you say
