Is it good choice to buy cyber truck now ?
Hey yall, So Im not going to dive into a ton of specifics but I am 26 and worked at the headquarters of AWS here in Seattle. I am saying this because the conditions here a pretty unique and all of my coworkers would constantly go to each others apartments and what not like it was a university or something since we all lived within proximity to the office. I had a brief out of office relationship and it didnt not go well at all. The girl brought the drama in the office and got me written up for something that had no business being part of our work. Regardless, another coworker got involved and ended up making the whole thing 100x worse. I essentially got bullied out of the office by two passive aggressive teen girls who never talked to me once and gave me the silent treatment while discluding me from things, gossiping about me, and projecting their own shit onto. Ive obviously learned to separate my personal life from my professional. But anyways the point of this post is to share that I was fired for Harassment and intimidation back in November of 2022. HR didnt agree with the decision, the lady handling my case couldnt barely even speak and I she completely mumbled over my terms of termination due to her disagreeing with it so much. It was essentially a teenage breakup but dramatized beyond belief. They waited to fire me so it aligned with a massive layoff announcement. Needless to say its Feb 2024 and I just received a email from a recruiter and its targeted towards previous Amazon employees, it reads as below. Thats just a part of it but my question is am I allowed to interview again and possibly join the company again or have I been like permanently banned? I realize its a pretty general email but Im surprised I havent been identified in their database as someone who isnt hirable again. I guess my main question is if I wanted to could I ever interview at Amazon again and rejoin? Could I join as a contractor? Ive seen some roles open for project Kuiper for contract workers. Im a really good employee who works extremely hard and I usually puts more than 40 hrs in. My parents met from work so I thought it was normal to try and date in the office. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen. I was unemployed for 13 months... "Hello Fellow Amazonian! :) Hope your day was amazing! I’m a part of the AWS Shared Service division that specializes in recruiting for SDE, SysDE, and FEEs for AWS. I came across your resume and noticed you were a past Amazonian!!! I’m following up because we are HIRING again, and I was wondering if you were possibly thinking of ever coming back? If so, I would love the opportunity connect with you! Would you be open to a discovery call to learn more? 😊 As we ramp up hiring again, we are looking to grow in key areas within AWS that are of high priority!!!" #Amazon #AWS
I don’t believe so. Even if you go through the initial screens, somewhere along the process they will check on your rehire eligibility and I doubt you will pass that check. No harm asking if you want to be sure and not hear it from a random stranger on Blind. Context - recruiters run searches on LinkedIn and mass email without cross referencing with internal systems. However once they get a hit (ie you start the process with them) , that’s where the check comes in.
Exactly! @OP you can reply them and if they ghost you, then you are not eligible for rehire. But if they continue the process, then good for you. No harm in trying.
Thank you for this information! Im working remotely at a small recruiting firm based in Boston right now and I took a pretty decent pay cut especially when accountign for the promotion I was about to recieve... I'd follow up on the email. You'll find out quickly if you're on the no hire list.
Amazon sounds thirsty AF. Too much RTO :)
Just don’t get involved with office employees not sure how much this needs to be infused - but then your D does the thinking then ask it
I wasn’t thinking with my D. I was trying to handle conflict before it got out of control. We went on a few dates and everything was reciprocal. Thought I was doing the responsible thing tbh but it backfired. We needed to have the talk. I hear you 100% though
Ask the recruiter to come on a coffee date or dinner date and Netflix and chill if she says yes you are not banned
DM their names, I got a long shit list and I don't mind making it longer
Go for it. Never stick your shlong in crazy
