Like an apartment or a townhome condo if possible. And are there any decent options in decent areas from $300k-$400k? Would it hold its value with the rest of the Seattle housing market? Also, I like urban life and it'll just be me, my girlfriend and our dog
Don’t buy a condo, only SFH with land and no HOA.
SfH?

Yeah bro, you can get a nice big 🏠 downtown with a yard for 300k. Keep us updated!

No, you will not get even a decent studio in downtown for that price. I wouldn't recommend buying a condo at this point just because the market is flooded with rentals and every new residential construction is an apartment rental. You might be better off renting or buying a house/townhome. However, you might want to raise your budget and also geographical area you are looking to buy in
Rent in Seattle for right now, you’ll be money ahead in the long run. Let this current bubble shake out a little bit.
I would save your money, or buy property in Columbus and rent it out as it will gain more in the long run. Unless you can buy outright and are okay with the possibility of losing money in the long run then I would buy here. 300-400k might get you 400 sqft?
Heres what you get for 530k https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/401-9th-Ave-N-APT-405-Seattle-WA-98109/88877934_zpid/
Coming from Columbus myself, I look at the prices and what I could buy there when im in a masochistic mood.
800k will get u a decent 2b in slu
