I recently changed jobs and this is my first week at Broadcom. I have some spine medical history with surgery. I am experiencing same symptoms again and feels like I may need another surgery (will get MRI tmr likely). How likely am I looking at being let go because of this unfortunate development this early after switch ? Last time I needed a month off for the surgery recovery.
Don’t know the answer to your question but wish you all the best. Hopefully they will be considerate
Health is always more important. Take care of yourself. Hope you speedy recovery.
Health >>>> TC. Max you will get fired and you don't want to work for those companies or managers who don't understand this.
Fmla doesn’t kick off until 12 month on the job. But any decent company should accommodate. Good luck
People will be more understanding than you think. In the end anyone can understand a situation like this.
Scenario 1 - your company will be understanding, you're fine Scenario 2 - they're heartless bastards, in that case it's a blessing in disguise. It'll most def be scenario 1
Even heartless companies care about their reputation and don’t want to be obvious. So most likely they would show some understanding
Just an update for those who would find this useful. I’m still struggling with health issues majorly. Group has been accommodating from day 1. Fingers crossed.
Hey OP, are you fine now? Did you recover?
it’s almost a year after your message. I’ve been inactive on blind. I got another big surgery last year and Altho not back to normal, i’m better than 2020. I appreciate your message
Hey OP how long was your recovery? Did you have to take STD?
