Fitness trackers - what's next?

My Microsoft Band 2 is dying (design and function were great, durability not so much) and I cannot find a good replacement in the market. Looking for many things in one product and there is nothing that fits the bill. - Wrist HR monitor for workouts - GPS embedded for all day skiing/biking/hiking tracking without also draining phone battery - smaller size (i.e. band form factor, not watch) to be comfortable for all day wearing (including sleep tracking) - multi platform support (sorry Samsung Gear!) - a nice design overall that can work at any time of the day, including when dressing up Am I asking for too much? Is there innovation happening?

These devices have existed for 20+years (Polar, Garmin). Fitbit made them trendy. But it was a trend. Everything will go back to normal soon (few options as before)

Just buy Fitbit already.

I just got a Garmin Vivoactive HR... like it so far.

I recently replaced my MS band 2 with Fitbit Charge 2. So far so good.

Withings steel HR! I'm going for that when my Band dies (I hope it won't be soon though)

I've had a Steel HR since December. It's good. Battery life is amazing. Some things I miss from Band. But Band is fatally flawed.

Fitbit surge has GPS, but the newer devices are more durable. I'd recommend the charge 2 or blaze but they don't have embedded GPS. I don't much about other companies' trackers so can't help you there πŸ™‚

look at what Fibit and Garmin are offering. Fitbits win on looks. Garmin's have better GPS watches.
