Culture wise : Salesforce is a generation ahead. You will not find zero-skilled, "thought leaders" here taking technical decisions on behalf of ICs. Managers do not have cabins here. Collaboration with US is as smooth as working with someone in HYD from BLR. Trust is primary value here. Tech & Growth : Salesforce tech stack is similar, but Salesforce is better placed and pioneer in SaaS world. Growth is not tied with number of years. If you are good, there is a way to grow. Hikes: This year, SF was 10-12% (goes upto 20+% for best performers). Hikes also happen with promotions (12-20% my best guess). Hikes are based on your contribution, potential in future and self-drive. Refreshers : SF refreshers are given to 3-4% of *entire* population. But for product teams it is 10-40%, depending on the lifecycle the team (higher if team is storming/performing). The refresher amount is usually not insignificant (like it can be $20-50k) in India. Promotions also bring refreshers. Another good part, unlike Adobe, here RSU are vested every quarter. WLB - Depends on team and its life cycle. Salesforce is expanding with new capabilities and verticals like industries, customer data platform, performance tooling, security etc. Adobe is kind of stagnated. So check with your HM. Benefits : SF gives 12 weeks off vs 10 days off for paternal leave in Adobe. Referral bonus 1.5 lacs vs 30k. Wellness fund are comparable, but slightly better in SF. Moving to US : Bad in both places. But boomerang is easy in SF. Remember trust. Retirement : Who thinks of retirement at 5 yoe ;) Source : Worked at both places.
